Commercial director of PHARMHIM Yulia Khokhlova took part in a special program of the American Business Internship Training (SABIT) «Supply Chain Management”. The purpose of the internship was to learn the latest trends, new concepts and innovative technologies that are developed and applied in the United States industry and also the establishment of direct business contacts.
The participants of the internship had business meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, the International Union for the cold chain (GCCA), a regional provider of logistics services «InterChange Group, Inc.». They also visited the largest exhibition «ProMat» for industry professionals and supply chain in North America.
Training for the internship participants was delivered by leading faculty members from Robert H Smith School of Business, Maryland University, Gordon Institute of Business Science, Georgia Institute of Technology.
According to Yulia Khokhlova the most important practical aspects of the internship were the optimization of supply chain management, transport management system and warehouse inventory management along with supply and demand forecasts – all of which are crucial in achieving greater efficiency in the supply chain management of the enterprise.
SABIT Program is funded by the US Congress and provides technical assistance to countries of Eurasia which are transferring to a market economy.
